Adam is currently the staff editorial cartoonist for The Buffalo News. He accepted the position in August of 2004, at the end of his three month illustration internship at the paper. The News is the only daily newspaper in Buffalo New York and has a circulation of around 300,000. With a tradition of great cartoonists, the paper was home to Bruce Shanks and Tom Toles, both Pulitzer Prize winners. Adam is fortunate to have the daunting task of replacing Toles, who is currently at The Washington Post.

Currently, Adam draws 4 or 5 editorial cartoons every week, along with his illustration work for the paper. Occasionally, he gets a cover art assignment. His cartoons typically run Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays on the Editorial Page (however this changes frequently). As an ambassador for The News, he has been coaxed into speaking at events around the community from time to time.

Adam's cartoons are internationally syndicated and have appeared in papers and books around the world, including USA Today, The New York Times and Los Angeles Times. In his spare time he has done
freelance work ranging from book illustration, to cartooning and storyboarding. MAD Magazine and Cingular Wireless are among his national clients.

His work from 2006 earned him 3rd place for Editorial Cartoons in the 2007 National Headliner Awards, sponsored by the Atlantic City Press Club. This is his first national honor as a professional.

He previously drew weekly editorial cartoons for Artvoice,
Buffalo's largest weekly publication. He has also been a caricature artist at Six Flags Darien Lake since 1999, where he held a supervisor position. As a result of his undergraduate thesis work in editorial cartoons, Adam teaches workshops in cartooning and visits local highschools and colleges.

Adam graduated from the Canisius College Honors program summa cum laude in May of 2004 with a major in Computer Science, a minor in Math, and a concentration in Studio Arts. In light of his amazing job and long time love affair with cartoons, he has wisely chosen to put his degree to no use.

He is married to his college sweetheart Jessica. They met in 2001 working on the school newspaper together. He is extremely lucky to have found (and kept) such an incredible girl. They own a beautiful century home in a historic neighborhood in the city of Buffalo.

Adam's first cartooning gig was for The Griffin, the weekly student newspaper at Canisius College. Because of his work at the newspaper in 2003, he was honored with a first place national award from the Associated Collegiate Press and the Universal Press Syndicate.

He placed second in the 2004 John Locher Memorial Award, which is the most prestigious collegiate cartooning honor awarded in North America.
