This is the mighty Mel Schroeder. He is tall, german and wonderfully soft spoken. Mel is a master of literature, humor (high and low brow), conversational tangents and furniture taste. Mel is ultimately a huge cartoon fanatic, with a very impressive archive. Over the years he has supplied Adam with countless clippings and books and articles about cartoons. As one would expect, he can relate everything in life to a Simpson's or Seinfeld episode. He was Adam's (second) advisor for his thesis (on bio page as a pdf). When Mel isn't rambling about something or other, he can be found reminiscing about death and enjoying a Maria Mancini. |
