Note: This cartoon is referring to a local story reported in The Buffalo News, the day after Trooper Brinkerhoff was tragically killed on duty. It was reported that a group in Albany was immediately rallying to bring back the death penalty. They were using this tragedy for political gain before it was reported friendly fire was the cause. Without seeing that story, some have interpreted the cartoon as an attack at the State Troopers. That was not the intention. It was a tragic accident that took the life of a courageous man. The character on the right is the main target.
